Artist in Residency with Deborah Boner for NAIDOC Week

The design for the mural is based on the theme of ‘place’. It is an aerial map of our place in the city surrounded by significant landmarks such as the Swan River and Kings Park. A focal point of the work is the red dot indicating the location of St George’s Anglican Grammar School. The colours are vibrant reminders of youthful exuberance and enthusiasm for our place of learning. The techniques used borrow from the ancient tradition of indigenous art using dot painting techniques.

The mural is hung with pride in the Cafeteria on level four.
