From the Principal
It is a privilege to be the Principal of St George’s Anglican Grammar School. A small school with a big heart and part of the Anglican Schools Commission group of schools here in Western Australia. We are proud to provide an excellent education within a coeducational setting grounded in the Anglican tradition. As the first and only vertical school located in the Perth CBD, we cater for both local and international students from Years 7 – 12.
Our school is a vibrant and exciting one. The city is our campus. Our central location provides easy access to the many cultural, sporting and business opportunities available in a modern city environment. We make use of Perth’s leading cultural and educational facilities to enhance our classrooms, enabling St George’s Anglican Grammar School to offer wide-ranging curricular and co-curricular experiences.
St George’s Cathedral is our place of worship and our spiritual ‘home’ in the city. The City of Perth Library, King Street Art Centre, WA State Theatre, WA Museum, Art Gallery of WA and the Perth Concert Hall are all frequently used by St George’s students and located within an easy walk of our city-based campus.
From day one as you begin your St George’s journey you will notice the warmth, energy and positivity of both our students and our staff. The relationships between them are, I believe, marked by kindness, care and respect. At St George’s our students are at the heart of all that we do. They are challenged to be the best that they can be in a safe and nurturing community of learners. St George’s staff demonstrate a shared commitment to carefully blending academic excellence, strong pastoral care and a mindset of service to others with a wealth of experiences beyond the confines of the classroom.
At St George’s we aspire to know every child, to connect at a deeper level with every family and to celebrate a student’s individual talents and passions. We aim to cater to the unique needs of our students, assisting them to lead purposeful lives within the context of the Anglican faith.
St George’s is grounded in our values of faith, excellence, justice, respect, integrity and diversity. Our motto of ‘Wisdom, Grace and Service’ lies at the heart of all that we do. St George’s students are equipped to tackle the world head on - to be inquisitive, to be persistent, to be imaginative, to be curious, to be collaborative and to be creative. Our hope is that they will also be people of faith and kindness.
We are conveniently located adjacent to major train, bus and ferry routes and attract students living across the Perth metropolitan area and beyond.
I am immensely proud to be the Principal of St George’s Anglican Grammar School and want St George’s students to be proud too – proud of their school community, proud of themselves and their own unique achievements and proud of the values that are fostered here.
Finding a school that provides an all-round education to prepare students today for the modern world in which they live is vital. St George’s is that school. I invite you to visit and experience the St George’s difference for yourself. I know that you will feel the positive energy and sense of belonging that makes our school such a wonderfully uplifting place of learning.
Please contact us today to receive more information and to arrange a tour of the campus.
I look forward to warmly welcoming you to our school.
