Scholarships

St George's Anglican Grammar School offers a generous Scholarship Program for current and prospective students.

Our scholarship testing is held in June of the year prior to entry.

Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarships are open to students entering Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 in 2024. They are open to both current students and new students to St George’s.

All Academic Scholarship applicants are required to sit the Edutest scholarship examination at 9am on Saturday 10 June 2023.

Applicants must also apply in writing on the St George’s Scholarship Application Form. This, together with their most recent school reports and NAPLAN results, need to be submitted by Friday 2 June 2023.

General Excellence Scholarships

General Excellence Scholarships are only open to new students only entering Year 10 in 2024.

The General Excellence Scholarships will be awarded to students who embody the School’s values of Wisdom, Grace and Service. It is expected that successful applicants would contribute wholeheartedly to the St George’s School Community both academically and by being involved in a range of co-curricular pursuits.

To be eligible for a General Excellence Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria

  • Demonstrated academic achievement and potential as evidenced in the scholarship examination.
  • Excellence in one or more of the following categories Music, Science, Arts – visual arts, dance or drama, Sport and/or Community Service.
  • High level of application to their chosen activity inside and outside of school.
  • Leadership potential within their demonstrated area of excellence.

All General Excellence Scholarship applicants are required to sit the Edutest scholarship examination at 9am on Saturday 11 June 2022.

Applicants must also apply in writing on the St George’s Scholarship Application Form. This, together with their two most recent school reports and NAPLAN results, need to be submitted by Friday 3 June 2022.

Music Scholarships

Music Scholarships are only open to new students only entering Year 7, 8, 9 or 10 in 2024.

Music at St George’s continues to grow from strength to strength. It has been encouraged through the commencement of our Advanced Music Program (AMP) which is now open to students in Years 7-9.

Applicants must be studying at least one instrument to a high standard to be considered for the Music Scholarship. They will be required to play two short contrasting pieces of their choice on their chosen instrument. Vocal Music Scholarships are also available.

All Music Scholarship applicants are required to sit the Edutest scholarship examination at 9am on Saturday 10 June 2023.

Applicants must also apply in writing on the St George’s Scholarship Application Form. This, together with their most recent school reports and NAPLAN results, need to be submitted by Friday 2 June 2023.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarships

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarships are open to students entering Years 7, 8, 9, 10 in 2024. They are open to both new and current students of St George’s Anglican Grammar School.

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarships offers up to two students 50% remission of tuition fees annually.

This Scholarship is open to all Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students and applications are to be made directly with the School via the St George’s Scholarship Application Form. This, together with their two most recent school reports and NAPLAN results, need to be submitted by Friday 2 June 2023.

Students applying for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship are not required to undertake the Scholarship examination.
