Commonwealth Day - A Multi Faith Observance

On Sunday 11 March, St George’s students were invited to attend a very special service and act as flagbearers for one of the 52 Commonwealth Nations at the Observance for Commonwealth Day held at the magnificent St George’s Cathedral.

Her Excellency the Honourable Mrs Kerry Sanderson AC and Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy AO, along with faith representatives from Baha’i, Buddhist, Roman Catholic, Uniting Church, Hebrew and Muslim communities were among the distinguished guests.

This years' theme renews the vision and commitment to building on the individual and collective strengths of all member countries to respond to global challenges, and deliver a more prosperous, secure, sustainable and fair future for all of our citizens, particularly our young people.
