Exhibitions and awards are announced annually by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA). They acknowledge individual excellence in the Australian Tertiary Admission Tank (ATAR) and are awarded to the top achieving students. Four St George’s Anglican Grammar School students this year were recognised for their hard work and efforts by being awarded a Certificate of Distinction. I congratulate Saira Afridi, Isabella Daniels, Holly Dear and Sunny Liu from the Class of 2022 for this wonderful recognition of their hard work, determination and outstanding efforts.
The Class of 2022 also completed 22 VET Certificates across a wide range of courses including a Certificate IV in Community Services, a Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies and a Certificate IV in Business.
21 students successfully completed a University Pathways Preparation Program in Year 12 and now have a direct entry to a range of universities.
The Class of 2022 have clearly demonstrated that they are a highly accomplished group of individuals. They have contributed to the School with genuine commitment, enthusiasm and passion. They have lived the School’s values of Wisdom, Grace and Service and they have been involved in sport, music, drama, the visual arts, community service and so much more during their time as St George’s students. They have achieved success across multiple fields of endeavour.
I wish to recognise and acknowledge the dedication and commitment demonstrated by our wonderful teaching and support staff who have guided the Class of 2022 during their schooling journey and celebrate with them on their many successes both inside and outside of the classroom.
There are many measures of success; achieving an ATAR, completing an Endorsed Program, graduating from a Uni Preparation Program or obtaining a Certificate IV are all just some of the success stories shared with the Class of 2022. These things are however not the definition of success for any person. For many, it is simply a milestone to the next stage in one’s life beyond school to University, TAFE or the world of work.
St George’s Anglican Grammar School whole heartedly congratulates all members of the Class of 2022 for all that they have achieved as members of our community.
I have been delighted to walk alongside them as a remarkable group of young people during our shared time together and I warmly welcome them as our newest members of our alumni, ‘The Grammarians’.
I wish them all the very best for their future endeavours beyond school.
