Lost in Time and Place
A collaboration of students and staff from St George's Anglican School entwining sampling, looping, traditional instruments, live electronics and sound design. Immerse yourself in the sounds of our city interwoven with live original composition: enchanting, beautiful, edgy, haunting, surprising.
Taking sound samples from the CBD as a starting point, students and staff have collaborated to write songs combining orchestral and contemporary instruments with live electronics and software.
About Electrocity Ensemble
Electrocity Ensemble has grown out of a vibrant creative music department, taking instruments out of their traditional contexts and exploring new contemporary possibilities. A collaboration between staff and students (but student driven), the group combines sampling, looping, software and electronics with live instrumental performance.
