The Senior Leadership Team at St George's Anglican Grammar School is an additional layer of support to the Executive Team in place to ensure students at St George's receive the best possible education.
Ms Taryn Sephton
Ms Taryn Sephton began her teaching career as a Humanities and English teacher at Tranby College, Baldivis. Since then, she has worked in government and Independent high schools in both Western Australia and Victoria.
Prior to stepping into the Associate Dean of Students & Wellbeing role from 2025 she has held several pastorally focused leadership roles, including Head of Years 7 & 8 here at St. George’s Anglican Grammar School.
With well over a decade of experience in Pastoral Care, Taryn firmly believes students benefit most when their families and schools are working towards a common goal, and prioritises maintaining positive working relationships with all stakeholders involved in a student’s educational journey.
Mrs Sharan Tagore
Mrs Sharan Tagore began her teaching career in Glasgow, Scotland. She graduated with a degree in Neuroscience (Hons) and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Glasgow. Later, she earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Career Education from Queensland University of Technology.
After six years of teaching, she was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Teacher Exchange Scholarship, spending a year in New Jersey sharing knowledge with her peers. During this time, she had the opportunity to speak at a ‘Global Townhall’ event in Philadelphia and at the United Nations Plaza on education.
Following this, Sharan worked in London as a Lead Teacher and Head of Biological Sciences before moving to Western Australia, where she taught in a range of government and independent private schools.
With a strong passion for career education and supporting students in achieving success, Sharan has worked as a Careers Counsellor and VET Coordinator. This has led her to the role of Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning, where she continues to foster diverse learning pathways and guide students towards their aspirations.
Mr Timothy Hayward
Mr Tim Hayward has more than 20 years of experience in education, having spent much of his teaching career at Helena College. During this time, he taught Mathematics and held a number of leadership positions, including Head of Mathematics, Head of Year 9 and Director of Upper School.
Prior to stepping into the Associate Dean of School Operations role at St George’s Anglican Grammar School, Tim served as Head of Years 11 & 12 for two years, supporting senior students through the academic, pastoral and organisational demands of their final years of schooling.
With extensive experience across teaching, student leadership and whole-school operations, Tim is passionate about creating effective systems and processes that allow both students and staff to thrive. He values organisation, collaboration and clear communication, and believes that strong school operations provide the foundation for a positive and successful learning environment.
