2027 St George's Scholarship Program
St George’s Anglican Grammar School is pleased to provide a range of scholarship opportunities for entry into the school for the start of the 2027 school year.
Scholarship Applications close on Tuesday 2 June 2026 and are open to both current and future students.
Scholarships provide part remission of tuition fee. They are usually awarded until the recipient graduates from St George’s Anglican Grammar School. Most scholarships provide a 50% or 25% remuneration on school fees.
Students who are awarded scholarships will be expected to demonstrate exemplary character and behaviour that align with the values and ethos of the school in pursuing Wisdom, Grace and Service in all things and at all times both inside and outside the school.
All Scholarship recipients would be expected to be fully involved in the life of the school – both academically and within the wide range of co-curricular pursuits available each term.
The Scholarship Process
- Register for the Edutest scholarship examination by Tuesday 2 June 2026. The registration fee is $100 per student. This fee is non-refundable. All applicants must also complete and return the St George’s Scholarship Application Form to the School. This must include their two most recent school reports and most recent NAPLAN results. This needs to be submitted by Tuesday 2 June 2026. The application form has an Edutest ID number and therefore registration for the scholarship examination needs to occur first. This is for all Scholarships except for those students applying for the First Nation Peoples Scholarship.
- Applicants will sit a scholarship examination conducted at St George’s Anglican Grammar School, 441 Murray Street, on Saturday 6 June. Scholarship tests are conducted by Edutest, an independent assessor. All students will be expected to arrive by 8.30AM and as the test is primarily online, students must bring their own charged laptop (Windows 10, macOS 12 Monterey or later installed). iPads, Android tablets and Chromebooks are not supported. Students will also need photo ID, i.e. passport, school photo, etc. prior to being admitted into the Scholarship Testing Area. The test generally consists of:
- Hand written narrative story with a prompt (15 minutes)
- Break (10 minutes)
- Online Multi Choice Verbal Reasoning (30 minutes)
- Online Multi Choice Numerical Reasoning (30 minutes)
- Break (20 minutes)
- Online Multi Choice Reading Comprehension (30 minutes)
- Online Multi Choice Mathematics (30 minutes)
- Music candidates will also be required to attend an audition on Friday 19 June. Times will be confirmed with individual applicants after the examination on Saturday 6 June by the Head of Music, Mrs Lynette Taylor.
- Shortlisted applicants will be notified of a formal interview prior to the final selection of scholarship recipients for 2027.
- Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the School and the School’s decision is final.
- Successful applicants will receive a formal written offer of a Scholarship with an acceptance deadline.
- Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by letter as soon as possible after all offers have been made and accepted.
- It is expected that all decisions regarding 2027 Scholarships will have been finalised by the end of August 2026.
