2027 St George's Scholarship Program

Academic Scholarships are open to both existing students and new students to St George’s across all year groups. 

All Academic Scholarship applicants are required to sit the Edutest Scholarship Examination. This will take place at St George’s Anglican Grammar School – 441 Murray Street, commencing at 9am on Saturday 6 June 2026.

Applicants must also apply in writing via the St George’s Scholarship Application Form. Both need to be completed to be registered for a scholarship.

This, together with their most recent school reports and NAPLAN results, need to be submitted by Tuesday 2 June 2026.

Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a formal interview prior to the awarding of Academic scholarships. These interviews are usually with the School Principal, Mrs Tina Campbell.

General Excellence Scholarships are open to new students entering St George’s in Year 10, 2027. It is expected that successful applicants would contribute wholeheartedly to the St George’s School Community both academically and through their involvement in a wide range of co-curricular pursuits.

To be eligible for a General Excellence Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

• Demonstrated academic excellence as evidenced in the Scholarship Examination.
• Outstanding achievement in one or more of the following categories Music, Science, Arts – Visual Arts, Design, Dance or Drama, Sport and/or Community Service.
• Leadership potential within their demonstrated area of excellence.

All General Excellence Scholarship applicants are required to sit the Edutest Scholarship Examination. Music Scholarships are open to new students entering Year 7 and 10.

Music at St George’s Anglican Grammar School continues to offer excellent and unique performance opportunities. All Music Scholarship applicants must sit the Edutest scholarship examination at 9.00AM on Saturday 6 June 2026. Applicants must also apply in writing via our Application Form. This, together with their two most recent school reports and NAPLAN results, need to be submitted by Tuesday 2 June 2026.

Students applying for a Music Scholarship will also be required to attend an audition with the Head of Music, Mrs Lynette Taylor. Applicants must be studying at least one musical instrument to a high standard to be considered for the Music Scholarship. They will be required to play one piece of music of their choice as part of these auditions on their preferred instrument. Vocal Music Scholarships are also available and students who are strong vocally are encouraged to apply for a Music Scholarship. Vocal Scholarship applicants will be expected to perform one song as part of their audition.

All recipients of our Music Scholarships are expected to be part of both our Advanced Music Program as well as demonstrate a commitment to a variety of bands, ensembles, and school-based performances as part of their Scholarship. All Music Scholarship recipients are required to be involved in all major music nights and performances. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to attend a formal interview prior to the awarding of Music Scholarships.

First Nation Peoples Scholarships are open to new students entering Years 7 and 10. 

The First Nation Peoples Scholarships offers up to two students 50% remission of tuition fees annually for the remainder of their secondary schooling.

This Scholarship is open to all First Nation Peoples and applications are to be made directly with the School via the St George’s Scholarship Application Form. This, together with their two most recent school reports and NAPLAN results, need to be submitted by Tuesday 2 June 2026.

Students applying for this Scholarship are not required to undertake the Scholarship examination.

The scholarship will be offered following an interview with the Principal.
